Web Development & E-commerce — Amsterdam A website is a first impression that never sleeps.
We build fast, clear, easy-to-manage websites and online stores for small businesses — with fixed prices and no hourly billing.
The problem
Your site was built by someone who is no longer answering.
A theme nobody has touched since 2019, a plugin list nobody understands, and a price to change a photo. Meanwhile it looks fine on your laptop and nobody has checked it on 4G.
"WooCommerce or Shopify?" is where most people give up before they start selling anything at all.
The method
Fixed scope first. Then a fixed price.
We write down the number of pages, revisions and days before anything is built — on WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Wix or custom code, whichever actually fits.
If a request turns out bigger than the package, we quote that piece separately instead of quietly stretching a revision.
Scope a custom project →What you keep
Access, ownership and a site you can edit.
Your hosting, your domain, your accounts — in your name. We hand over a site set up so you can change a price or a photo the same day you think of it.
No vendor lock-in, no hourly billing, and no account manager relaying messages between you and the person doing the work.

Your package covers the essentials. These are for specific extras — they're added to a build, not sold as standalone projects.
Or let us keep
it running.
You do not need a care plan to launch. It's for people who'd rather not think about updates, backups and small fixes. Managing it yourself is completely fine.
Updates, backups, uptime checks and up to 30 minutes of small content changes each month.

NyxWorks launched in 2026. We're still building the portfolio — which is exactly why first-year prices sit 20% below our standard rates. Everything below is real work, not an invented case study.

NyxWorks is an Amsterdam-based web design and development studio, working with businesses across Amsterdam and the Netherlands. We build custom websites and online stores on WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, and Wix — whichever platform actually fits your business, not whichever one we're most comfortable pushing. Every project runs on a fixed price agreed before work starts, from a single landing page to a fully custom-coded site built from scratch. No hourly billing, no vendor lock-in, and a site set up so you can actually maintain it yourself afterward.
An honest checklist before you buy.
The practical
stuff.
Pricing, platforms, SEO, content, ownership, timelines and what happens after launch — the things clients actually ask before starting.
choosing the right build
How much does a website cost?
Our fixed-price builds start at €289 for a landing page, €799 for a WordPress site with up to 5 core pages, and €2,000 for a custom-coded Pro build. The price is based on the agreed scope, not an open-ended hourly estimate. Published prices exclude VAT — the rate depends on your country.
Which package is right for my business?
Starter is for a focused one-page presence, Growth is for a proper small-business website with several pages, and Pro is for a more bespoke experience where the design and front-end need to be built from scratch. If your requirements sit between tiers, message us and we'll recommend the smallest package that genuinely fits.
WordPress, Shopify, or Wix — which one do I need?
WordPress is usually the strongest fit when content, SEO, flexibility, or long-term ownership matters. Shopify is purpose-built for e-commerce and is often the better choice for a store-first business. Wix is a straightforward option for a smaller service business or portfolio. We choose the platform around your needs, not our preferred tool.
Can you build an online store?
Yes. We can build or configure WooCommerce, Shopify, or Wix e-commerce depending on the catalogue, checkout requirements, and level of customization you need. Product entry, payment-provider setup, shipping rules, and more complex catalogue work can be scoped separately when required.
Can you rebuild my existing website without losing everything?
Yes. A rebuild can preserve useful content, URLs, metadata, analytics, and existing search visibility. We review the current site first and plan redirects before launch where URLs need to change.
design, content & SEO
Do I get a custom design or a template?
It depends on the tier. Starter uses a focused, efficient structure; Growth includes premium theme customization; Pro is custom-coded without relying on a purchased page-builder layout. In every case, we make the design fit your brand rather than handing you an untouched template.
Do you write the website copy?
Website copy is not automatically included in every build, but SEO Page Copy is available as an add-on. It covers roughly 500–800 words for a page, with SEO research and a keyword pass included. Larger content projects can be scoped separately.
Will my website be SEO-friendly?
Yes. Our builds use clean page structure, sensible headings, metadata, mobile-friendly layouts, crawlable content, and basic technical SEO practices. We don't promise a specific Google ranking — rankings depend on competition, authority, content, search intent, and many factors outside the website itself.
Do you provide keyword research and a full SEO strategy?
Basic on-page SEO is included according to the package. Deeper keyword research, content planning, long-form articles, link-building, and ongoing SEO are separate services so you only pay for them if you need them.
Can you help with photos, graphics, or illustrations?
Yes. Visual Sourcing covers up to 10 curated or AI-generated images, while Custom Illustration is available when you need a specific visual direction. Premium licensed stock is quoted separately when a paid licence is required.
Do I need to provide my own content and photos?
Not necessarily. You can provide your own materials, or add SEO Page Copy and Visual Sourcing. During the brief, we'll give you a clear content checklist so you know exactly what we need before development starts.
Can you make my website multilingual?
Yes. The Extra Language add-on covers a translated version of up to 10 pages plus proper multilingual setup, including a language switcher and hreflang tags. Additional pages or languages can be quoted separately.
timeline & process
How long does delivery take?
Starter typically ships in around 3 days, Growth in around 7 days, and Pro in around 10–14 days once we have the required content and access. Complex integrations, delayed feedback, or missing content can extend the timeline.
What happens after I order?
We confirm the scope, collect the content and access we need, and move through design, development, review, revisions, testing, and launch. You always know what stage we're at and what we need from you next.
Do I have to get on a call before buying?
No. Straightforward packages can be started without a call. If you want to talk it through first, you can buy/request a paid 30-minute consultation for €30. Prefer writing? Fill in the project form and we'll reply in writing, usually within 24 hours.
What if I need more revisions than included?
Extra revision rounds are a flat €25 each. If a request changes the agreed scope rather than simply revising the existing work, we'll explain the difference and provide a new fixed quote before doing the extra work.
What if I change my mind halfway through the project?
Small changes can normally be handled within the included revision rounds. If you want a different direction, additional pages, a new feature, or a different platform, we'll pause and agree a new scope rather than letting the original fixed price become unclear.
Can you work with an existing domain and hosting account?
Yes. You can keep your existing domain and hosting if they're suitable. If you prefer us to handle the technical setup, add Setup & Launch and we'll configure the domain, hosting, SSL, email, and go-live process as applicable.
scope & money
What exactly is included in the package price?
The package price covers the pages, platform, SEO work, revisions, and other items listed on that package card. If you ask for something outside the listed scope, such as extra pages or a new feature, we'll explain the extra cost and get your approval before doing it.
What counts as a page?
A page is a separate page or URL on your website, such as Home, About, Services, or Contact. Sections within one page do not count as separate pages. If your structure is unusual, we'll confirm exactly what is included before we start.
Is the price really fixed?
Yes, for the agreed package scope. There is no hourly billing. If you request work outside that scope, we pause and tell you the additional fixed cost before doing it.
What if I don't have a domain or hosting?
That's fine. Shopify and Wix include hosting. WordPress needs separate hosting, and Setup & Launch can cover the technical setup. You can also keep your existing provider if it is suitable.
Do I need to provide the website text and photos?
No. You can provide your own content, or add SEO Page Copy and Visual Sourcing. We'll give you a simple checklist so you know what we need from you and when.
What if I don't like the design?
Your package includes revision rounds. If the work doesn't match the agreed brief, we'll correct it within the included revisions. If you decide you want a completely different direction or new scope, we'll explain what changes and what would cost extra before proceeding.
Can I pay in instalments?
For larger projects, staged payments can be arranged as part of the project agreement. Ask us before work starts and we'll confirm the payment schedule in writing.
launch, ownership & support
Do I need my own hosting?
WordPress sites need hosting, while Shopify and Wix include their own hosting. If you don't have suitable WordPress hosting, Setup & Launch can cover the configuration. We keep accounts in your name wherever practical, so you retain ownership.
Will I be able to edit the website myself?
Yes. WordPress builds come with backend access so you can manage normal content such as pages, posts, images, and products. We'll keep the editing experience as simple as possible and can explain the essentials at handover.
Do I own the website and final files?
Yes. Once the project has been delivered and paid for, the final website work and files produced for your project are yours. Third-party software, fonts, plugins, stock images, and platform subscriptions remain subject to their own licences and terms.
Do you offer ongoing website maintenance?
Yes. WordPress Care is €59/month, WooCommerce Care is €109/month, and Custom Code Care is €149/month. Care plans are for ongoing maintenance and support after launch; larger new features are scoped separately.
What if my website breaks after launch?
If the issue is related to the work we delivered and falls within the agreed support terms, we'll investigate and correct it. Ongoing maintenance is best handled through a Care Plan, especially for WordPress and WooCommerce sites where plugins, themes, and platform updates can introduce changes over time.
Can you set up analytics and conversion tracking?
Yes. Analytics & Conversion Setup is available as an add-on for installing the relevant tracking setup and defining the key conversion actions you want to measure. More advanced dashboards, attribution, or ongoing reporting can be scoped separately.
Will my site be fast on mobile?
Mobile performance is considered during the build, including image handling, page structure, asset loading, and responsive implementation. Our Speed & Performance add-on provides a deeper optimization pass. We don't guarantee a particular PageSpeed score because hosting, third-party scripts, fonts, and content can affect real-world results.
Is the website accessible?
Every build follows sensible accessibility practices by default, including semantic headings, useful alt text, readable contrast, and keyboard-friendly interactions where applicable. A formal WCAG compliance audit is a separate, more detailed scope.
What about GDPR, cookies, and privacy?
We build with privacy-conscious technical practices and can implement the website elements required by your chosen consent and analytics setup. Legal privacy and cookie policies are ultimately your responsibility or should be supplied by your legal adviser; we don't provide legal advice.
How do payments and VAT work?
Published prices are business prices and exclude VAT. The applicable rate and treatment depend on your country and are confirmed on the final invoice. For eligible cross-border B2B services, reverse-charge rules may apply.
What if my project is bigger than these packages?
That's fine. These packages are designed for common website projects, not to force every business into a box. If you need memberships, dashboards, custom integrations, advanced e-commerce, migrations, or a larger platform, use the Custom Projects route and we'll scope it properly.
Why are your prices 20% lower in the first year?
NyxWorks is in its first year, so we're offering introductory launch-year pricing while we build our client base and portfolio. The published prices are already 20% below our standard rates.
Do I need to understand websites or coding?
No. You only need to explain what your business does and what you want the website to achieve. We handle the technical work and explain the important decisions in plain English.
What is the difference between a page and a section?
A page is a separate URL such as Home, About or Contact. A section is a block inside that page. Ten sections on one page still count as one page.
